Finding and treating the source — not just the symptoms.
Fascia connects every system in the body allowing Fascial Counterstrain to address far more than muscles and joints.
Fascial Counterstrain (FCS) identifies and treats root causes of pain, beyond muscles and joints, helping the body relax and heal more fully.
FCS is a gentle, hands-on manual therapy technique that targets dysfunction within the body's vast connective tissue system, the fascia. Unlike approaches that focus only on muscles and joints, FCS recognizes that every structure in the body — organs, nerves, arteries, muscles, ligaments, tendons, veins, and lymphatic vessels — can spasm and produce pain as a protective response to injury, stress, or inflammation. When these reflexes persist, they create a cascade of restrictions that affect movement, circulation, nerve function, and even organ health. FCS works by identifying and releasing these restrictions, reducing inflammation and restoring the body's ability to heal.
Because fascia connects and supports every system of the body, FCS can address a wide range of conditions — from chronic pain and headaches to digestive, pelvic, and nerve-related issues, while promoting long-term healing and balance.
“Advances in fascia research now show that our connective tissue forms a continuous web linking every region of the body, helping explain why strain or restriction in one area can manifest as pain in another. ”
